Job Description Warehouse ManagerPosition: Warehouse ManagerDepartment: WarehouseLocation: WorliReporting To: Management / Operations HeadExperience: Minimum 1520 yearsRole Summary:The Warehouse Manager is fully responsible and accountable for end-to-end warehouse operations, inventory control, material availability, compliance, and team management. The buck stops with the Warehouse Manager for all warehouse-related performance, accuracy, and discipline.Key Responsibilities:Warehouse & Inventory Management: Take complete ownership of warehouse operations including receiving, storage, issuance, and dispatch of materials. Ensure accurate inward and outward movement of materials with proper documentation. Maintain optimum inventory levels to support uninterrupted operations. Ensure strict adherence to FIFO / FEFO practices. Monitor and control raw materials, finished goods, consumables, and spares. Review and approve stock registers, ERP entries, and inventory reports. Conduct and lead periodic physical stock audits and resolve discrepancies. Make sure all acute stock count is maintained on the system. Monitor, train and manage team. Stock delivery during eventsControl, Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure zero tolerance for material loss, pilferage, damage, or expiry. Be fully accountable for inventory accuracy and audit outcomes. Implement and enforce SOPs, internal controls, and compliance standards. Handle internal and external audits independently and close observations. Identify slow-moving, non-moving, obsolete stock and take corrective action.Team Leadership & Accountability: Lead, supervise, and control storekeepers, supervisors, helpers, and loaders. Define roles, responsibilities, and daily work allocation. Ensure discipline, productivity, safety, and adherence to rules. Train staff on inventory practices, ERP usage, and safety norms. Take responsibility for team performance and conduct.Reporting & Continuous Improvement: Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly inventory and warehouse reports. Analyze stock trends and recommend improvements to management. Improve warehouse layout, storage methods, and operational processes. Drive cost control initiatives related to inventory and warehousing.Skills & Competencies: Expert knowledge of warehouse and inventory management. Strong leadership and decision-making skills. High accountability and ownership mindset. Strong ERP and MS Excel working knowledge. Excellent coordination and communication skills.
