Job Title: Tile Mason / Tile SetterDepartment: Construction / Finishing WorksLocation: [DUBAI]Reports To: Site Supervisor / Finishing ForemanJob SummaryA Tile Mason is responsible for installing ceramic, porcelain, marble, granite, vitrified, and other types of tiles on floors, walls, staircases, bathrooms, kitchens, and exterior surfaces. The role requires ensuring high-quality finishing, accurate alignment, and compliance with project specifications and safety standards.Key ResponsibilitiesRead and interpret drawings, layouts, and specifications for tile installation.Measure and mark surfaces to determine tile placement and layout.Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, waterproofing, and applying adhesives or mortar.Cut, shape, and fit tiles using hand tools and tile-cutting machines.Install floor, wall, and decorative tiles according to approved designs.Ensure proper alignment, spacing, leveling, and finishing of tiles.Apply grout and sealants to joints and surfaces.Repair, replace, and maintain damaged or defective tiles.Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met.Coordinate with supervisors and other trades on site.Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work area.Follow all site safety rules and procedures.Required QualificationsHigh school education or equivalent preferred.Vocational or trade certification in masonry/tiling is an advantage.Ability to read construction drawings and layouts.ExperienceMinimum 2-5 years of experience as a Tile Mason in residential, commercial, or industrial projects.Experience with marble, granite, porcelain, and decorative tile installation is preferred.Skills & CompetenciesKnowledge of tile installation techniques and finishing standards.Ability to use tile-cutting and polishing equipment.Strong measuring and layout skills.Attention to detail and quality workmanship.Physical stamina and ability to perform manual work.Good teamwork and communication skills.Working ConditionsWork performed on construction and renovation sites.May involve lifting heavy materials, kneeling, bending, and working at heights.Exposure to dust, adhesives, and varying weather conditions.Safety RequirementsWear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.Follow company safety policies and site-specific regulations.Use tile-cutting and installation equipment safely.Participate in safety meetings and toolbox talks.Employment Type: Full-TimeIndustry: Construction / Building Finishing / Interior Fit-OutSalary Range: As per company policy and candidate experience.
