- Prepare authentic South Indian dishes:The South Indian Cook will be responsible for preparing a variety of traditional South Indian dishes such as dosas, idlis, sambhar, chutneys, and rice dishes with the right balance of flavors and spices.- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen:Ensuring that the kitchen is clean, organized, and follows proper hygiene standards to ensure the safety of the food being prepared.- Source and purchase quality ingredients:Responsibility for sourcing and purchasing fresh and high-quality ingredients like vegetables, spices, and other necessary items for cooking South Indian cuisine.- Customize dishes to meet dietary restrictions:Ability to customize dishes based on dietary restrictions or preferences of customers, ensuring that all meals are prepared to meet individual needs.- Monitor and manage kitchen inventory:Keeping track of inventory, ordering supplies as needed, and managing stock levels to avoid any disruptions in the cooking process.Required Skills and Expectations:- Demonstrated experience in cooking South Indian cuisine for at least 7-13 years.- Strong knowledge of traditional South Indian recipes and cooking techniques.- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.- Good communication skills and the ability to work well with other kitchen staff.- Strong attention to detail and a passion for creating delicious and authentic South Indian dishes.
