We are a reputed restaurant group having chain of restaurants in Kolkata looking for an experienced Purchase/Material Manager. The deserving candidate must have at least 2 years experience in similar position in any reputed hotel/restaurant in Kolkata. As a Purchase Manager the candidate will be responsible for sourcing equipment, goods and services and managing vendors. His responsibilities include studying the market to identify price trends and future availability of materials and goods; locating vendors; negotiating prices; preparing requisitions and purchase orders; and maintaining purchase records. The candidate will be responsible for identify vendors, price negotiation with favorable terms of payments and co-ordinate with management for releasing payment. The right candidate will develop, lead and execute purchasing strategies across the Group of restaurants. Liaise between suppliers and restaurants to ensure needs are being met. Build and maintain good relationships with new and existing suppliers. Produce reports and statistics on spending and saving.
