They provide excellent customer service while coordinating with airline personnel, security agencies, and airport authorities to ensure timely departures and arrivals.Key ResponsibilitiesPassenger Services- Welcome and assist passengers at the airport.- Perform check-in procedures and issue boarding passes.- Verify passenger identity, travel documents, and baggage.- Assist passengers with self-service kiosks and online check-in.- Guide passengers through boarding and arrival procedures.- Handle passenger inquiries, complaints, and special requests professionally.- Provide assistance to elderly passengers, passengers with disabilities, and unaccompanied minors.- Coordinate wheelchair and special assistance services.Boarding & Departure Operations- Make boarding announcements.- Verify boarding passes and travel documents.- Ensure passengers board according to airline procedures.- Coordinate boarding with cabin crew and flight operations.- Prepare departure documentation.- Ensure on-time departure by following operational schedules.Arrival Services- Assist arriving passengers.- Guide passengers toward baggage claim and customs.- Handle lost baggage reports.- Coordinate baggage tracing with the baggage department.- Resolve passenger service issues.Baggage Handling Coordination- Monitor baggage acceptance and tagging.- Ensure baggage complies with airline weight regulations.- Coordinate loading and unloading teams.- Report mishandled or damaged baggage.- Ensure baggage reaches the correct aircraft.Aircraft Turnaround Support- Coordinate aircraft arrival and departure activities.- Communicate with ramp staff and flight dispatch.- Ensure timely boarding and baggage loading.- Support quick aircraft turnaround.- Monitor service completion before departure.Customer Service- Deliver exceptional customer service.- Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude.- Resolve passenger concerns efficiently.- Explain airline policies clearly.- Assist during delays, cancellations, and schedule changes.Safety & Security- Follow airport safety procedures.- Comply with airline Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).- Ensure security regulations are followed.- Report suspicious activities immediately.- Maintain confidentiality of passenger information.- Participate in emergency response procedures.Documentation & Reporting- Maintain passenger records.- Prepare operational reports.- Complete flight documentation accurately.- Record incidents and irregularities.- Coordinate with supervisors regarding operational updates.Required QualificationsEducation- 10+2 (Higher Secondary) - Minimum Qualification- Graduate in any discipline preferred- Diploma or certification in Aviation, Hospitality, or Travel & Tourism is an added advantage.Experience- Freshers are welcome.- 0-3 years of experience in aviation, airlines, airports, hospitality, retail, or customer service is preferred.Required SkillsTechnical Skills- Knowledge of airport operations- Passenger handling procedures- Airline check-in systems (preferred)- Basic computer proficiency- MS Word, Excel, and Outlook- Documentation and record managementSoft Skills- Excellent communication skills- Strong customer service orientation- Professional personality and grooming- Problem-solving ability- Teamwork and collaboration- Time management- Multitasking capability- Attention to detail- Positive attitude- AdaptabilityPhysical Requirements- Ability to stand for extended periods.- Ability to work rotating shifts.- Fit to work in a fast-paced airport environment.- Ability to lift light baggage when required.- Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and night shifts.Work Environment- Airport terminals- Airline check-in counters- Boarding gates- Arrival halls- Customer service desks- Baggage service offices- Dynamic and high-volume operational environmentSalary (India)- Fresher: 25,000 - 30,000 per month- Experienced (2-5 years): 30,000 - 55,000 per month- Senior Ground Staff / Supervisor: 60,000 - 1,00,000+ per month
