Senior Sales Manager Role in Edible Oil IndustryRole and Company IntroductionPosition overview Senior Sales Manager - Edible Oil Company: (Edible Oil Manufacturing, Rajasthan) The Senior Sales Manager will lead overall sales, distribution expansion, Key responsibilities Drive monthly, quarterly, and annual primary and secondary sales targets (volume, value, and market share) for edible oil packs and SKUs in the assigned markets. Plan and implement sales strategies, route plans, and beat structures to maximize retail coverage and numeric distribution in general trade and modern trade. Appoint, develop, and manage distributors/super stockists, ensuring ROI, stock hygiene, credit discipline, and strong secondary sales. Lead, mentor, and review the performance of the sales team (Area Sales Managers / Sales Officers / territory executives), including daily market work, productivity, and KPI achievements. Execute trade schemes, discounts, and promotional activities; ensure instore visibility, planograms, POSM placement, and price discipline for Conduct regular market visits to key towns and routes, review outlet execution, and drive new town opening and retailer addition. Track competitor prices, schemes, launches, and market activity; share structured feedback and recommend pack, price, and product improvements. Prepare and review sales forecasts, budgets, and MIS reports; analyze KPIs such as sales growth, outlet productivity, strike rate, and fill rate. Coordinate closely with Production, Supply Chain, Accounts, and Marketing to ensure timely dispatches, stock availability, and successful new product launches. Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical selling practices, documentation, and reporting standards.Desired candidate profileExperience and Geographic Requirements Experience: 7-12+ years in FMCG / edible oil / food category sales, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial role handling a large territory and team. Industry: Strong exposure to edible oils or related FMCG categories (staples, food grains, ghee, refined oils, etc.), with proven experience in distributor and retail management. Geography: Prior experience in Rajasthan / North India markets will be preferred, with high willingness to travel 60-70% of the time.Essential Skills for the RoleSkills: Strong sales planning and execution capability for primary and secondary sales. Excellent team leadership, coaching, and performance management skills. Good analytical ability for numbers, KPIs, and market insights.
