Purpose of the PositionTo manage the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the solar power plant, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and achievement of key performance indicators (KPIs) while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.Key ResponsibilitiesOperational ResponsibilitiesContinuous monitoring and performance analysis of the solar plant using SCADA and other monitoring systems.Execute scheduled, preventive, and breakdown maintenance with minimal downtime.Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for recurring faults and implement corrective actions.Monitor and ensure proper module cleaning and overall plant hygiene.Regular inspection and maintenance of switchyard and substation equipment.Ensure daily monitoring of WMS sensors and operational data logging.Reporting & DocumentationMaintain logs for breakdowns, maintenance activities, RCA, and event tracking.Prepare and submit reports Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Half-yearly, and Yearly as per internal and client requirements.Client & Stakeholder CoordinationCommunicate and coordinate with clients, internal stakeholders, and external agencies.Assist Site Incharge in ensuring statutory and compliance-related documentation and activities.Team Support & LeadershipGuide and instruct the technical team in the absence of the Plant Head.Conduct regular training for site staff on safety, operational protocols, and technical knowledge.Promote a safe work environment by adhering to HSE guidelines.Key Result Areas (KRAs)Meet or exceed contractual KPIs for plant performance and availability.Minimize equipment downtime through timely maintenance.Ensure compliance with all HSE and regulatory standards.Deliver accurate and timely operational reports.Maintain effective client relationships and satisfaction levels.Skills & CompetenciesFunctional SkillsIn-depth knowledge of O&M practices in Solar Power Plants.Experience with SCADA, inverter systems, and energy storage/batteries.Hybrid solar project experience (preferred).Behavioural CompetenciesStrong communication (spoken & written) in English and local language.Collaborative mindset and effective team coordination.Proactive decision-making and accountability.Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.Physical RequirementsPhysically and mentally fit for site work.Willingness to stay at the site as per operational needs.Ability to stretch working hours during emergencies or critical maintenance tasks.Special ConsiderationsExperience in analytical diagnosis of solar plant faults.Must be willing to travel or relocate to remote plant locations as needed.
