Key Responsibilities1. Production & Operations Management Oversee day-to-day operations of the agrochemical plant (formulations, technical manufacturing, packaging). Ensure production targets are achieved as per demand planning and business goals. Optimize resource utilization (manpower, machinery, materials). Drive continuous process improvements for productivity and efficiency.2. Quality Assurance & Compliance Ensure adherence to quality standards, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and ISO guidelines. Liaise with QA/QC teams to maintain product quality and compliance. Oversee audits by regulatory authorities (CIB&RC, Pollution Control Board, Factories Act, etc.).3. Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) Implement EHS standards and ensure a zero-incident culture in the plant. Monitor hazardous chemical handling, storage, and disposal as per guidelines. Ensure compliance with environmental regulations related to agrochemicals.4. People & Team Management Lead, mentor, and motivate plant workforce, including managers, supervisors, and shop-floor workers. Drive skill development, training, and performance management. Maintain industrial harmony and handle union/IR-related matters (if applicable).5. Supply Chain & Cost Control Coordinate with procurement for the timely availability of raw materials. Control manufacturing costs, reduce wastages, and ensure efficient inventory management. Support the supply chain/logistics team for the timely dispatch of finished products.6. Strategic & Business Support Work closely with top management to align plant operations with business objectives. Provide regular MIS reports on production, quality, safety, and costs. Contribute to expansion projects, technology upgradation, and automation initiatives.________________________________________Key Skills & Competencies Strong knowledge of Agrochemical manufacturing processes (formulations, technicals, pesticides, herbicides, etc.). Excellent leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills. Sound understanding of regulatory compliance (CIB&RC, Insecticides Act, Factory Act, Pollution Control, etc.). Hands-on exposure to EHS practices, ISO/GMP standards. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to manage internal teams and external stakeholders. Proficiency in ERP/plant management systems.________________________________________Qualifications & Experience Education: B.E./B.Tech (Chemical / Mechanical) or M.Sc. (Chemistry/Agro Chemicals). MBA preferred. Experience: Minimum 15-20 years in manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in the agrochemical/pesticide industry. Proven track record of handling large-scale plant operations and cross-functional teams.
