Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Lead strategic sourcing and procurement for regulated and non-regulated materials: APIs, Excipients,Intermediates, Solvents, and Specialty Chemicals for domestic and export manufacturing. The roledemands sharp market intelligence on frequent global price swings, supply constraints, and regulatorychanges. You will be the key interface with domestic & overseas suppliers/vendors.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Sourcing & Market Intelligence:- Track regular trends in API KSM, excipient, solvent, and specialty chemical markets.- Forecast impact of geopolitical events, anti-dumping duties, and RM price volatility. Share marketintelligence reports with management.Vendor Development & Overseas Interaction:- Identify, qualify, and onboard new suppliers/vendors for APIs, excipients, intermediates, solvents, andspecialty chemicals.- Manage day-to-day communication with suppliers/vendors across time zones for pricing, capacity, leadtimes, and supply updates.Procurement & Cost Management:- Float RFQs/RFPs, compare quotations, negotiate best cost, payment terms, MOQ, and deliveryschedules.- Drive cost savings through alternate sourcing and develop dual/multiple sources to de-risk supply.Cross-Functional Coordination :- Work with QA for vendor approval, R&D for sampling, Planning for demand forecasts, and Logistics.- Coordinate with Warehouse for lot tracking, inward QC, and GRN.Core Competencies :- Market Expertise: Well versed with frequent global market changes and material trends for APIs,excipients, intermediates, solvents, and specialty chemicals. Ability to act ahead of price spikes orshortages.- Vendor Management: Strong experience in interactions with suppliers or vendors negotiation,conflict resolution, and relationship building. Excellent written and verbal English communications.
