We are looking for a Construction Estimator to join our team in Hyderabad. The ideal candidate will have 2 to 8 years of experience and a degree in architecture or engineering. This full-time position requires working from the office.**Key Responsibilities:**- **Prepare Detailed Estimates:** Analyze project plans and specifications to create accurate cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment needed for construction.- **Conduct Site Visits:** Visit job sites to gather data and understand project specifics, ensuring estimates reflect actual conditions and requirements.- **Review Tender Documents:** Examine and interpret bid documents to identify and address any discrepancies or missing information.- **Collaborate with Project Managers:** Work closely with project managers and engineers to ensure budgets align with project planning and execution.- **Update Cost Database:** Maintain and update a cost database to enhance the accuracy of future estimates based on past project performance.- **Present Estimates:** Prepare and present cost estimates to management and clients, providing clear explanations of the basis for costs.**Required Skills and Expectations:**- Strong understanding of construction processes and materials, with the ability to interpret blueprints and specifications.- Excellent analytical skills to assess project requirements and estimate costs accurately.- Proficient in using estimating software and tools to improve efficiency and accuracy.- Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and clients.- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work within deadlines.
The QS Engineer will be responsible for preparing cost estimates, quantity take-offs, and bill of quantities for construction projects. They will also be involved in contract administration, cost control, and project management.Key responsibilities include:Quantity take-off, BOQ preparation, and rate analysis for Finishes & Mivan works- Billing and certification of subcontractor and client bills- Preparation of RA bills, variation orders, and final bills- Cost control, budget monitoring, and reconciliation- Measurement and verification of site work as per drawings- Coordination with site execution, planning, and procurement teams- Maintain proper documentation for contracts and billing- Ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards

Role & responsibilities Review construction drawings, specifications, and relevant contract documents.Perform quantity take-offs for construction subtrades such as concrete, masonry, flooring, drywall, painting, and site work.Utilize estimating software to calculate areas, lengths, and volumes of different building components as needed.Apply labour / material rates to quantity take-offs given by estimating manager to calculate final project costs.Liaise with general contractors / project owner to get clarifications. Assisting in establishing a clients requirements.- Preparing bills of quantities by means of coordinating with all related parties (Design, Procurement and Finance), assist in costing, pricing and analysis of direct and indirect cost for the BOQ items.- Scrutinize, review of tender drawings/documents for discrepancies, additional BOQ items/scope and incorporating within the tender offer, liaise with consultant regarding ambiguities contract work scope and seek clarifications there to.- Visit Site as and when required to take measurements and monitor progress.- Analyze and compare quotations received at bid stage.- Analyze and recommend subcontract payments based on actual progress and valuing completed work and issuing payments requests to finance.- Check and review the site requisitions and compare them with the approved Bill of Quantity (BOQ).- Submit and negotiate contract variations, additional works, snags and maintenance orders.- Understand and asses the implications of health and safety regulations.
