Designation: Executive sourcing (Wheat)Job Summary: The Wheat Sourcing Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the timely and cost-effective sourcing of high-quality wheat for the company's production needs. This role will involve coordinating with suppliers, negotiating contracts, managing inventory levels, and working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that all procurement activities are aligned with business objectives.Key Responsibilities:Develop and implement procurement strategies for wheat sourcing that align with business goals and objectives.Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and negotiate contracts to secure favourable terms and pricing.Monitor market trends and developments, and proactively adjust sourcing strategies to ensure a reliable and cost-effective supply chain.Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including production, quality assurance, and logistics teams, to ensure that procurement activities are aligned with production schedules and inventory needs.Manage inventory levels and ensure timely delivery of wheat to production facilities.Conduct regular supplier performance evaluations and develop and maintain positive relationships with key suppliers.Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations related to procurement activitiesQualifications:Any graduate with 3+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in the food or agriculture industryDemonstrated experience in sourcing wheat or other grains is highly desirable.Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of initiative and ownership.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.Familiarity with procurement software and tools is a plus.
