Your duties will include ensuring that assigned rooms are fully stocked, cleaned, and serviced to a high standard. You should also be able to resolve guest complaints and queries promptly and in a polite manner.To be successful as a room attendant you must be honest, pleasant, and have detailed knowledge of, and comply with, all housekeeping policies, procedures, and standards.Key responsibilities:Cleaning guest rooms: Thoroughly cleaning all areas of the room including making beds, changing linens, replacing towels, vacuuming carpets, dusting furniture, wiping down surfaces, and sanitizing bathrooms. Stocking supplies: Replenishing guest room amenities like toiletries, beverages, snacks, and other supplies as needed. Reporting maintenance issues: Identifying and reporting any damage or malfunctioning items in the room to maintenance staff. Guest interaction: Greeting guests, answering questions about the hotel and its amenities, and addressing any concerns they may have. Maintaining cleanliness of common areas: Cleaning hallways, stairwells, and other public spaces as assigned. Following cleaning procedures: Adhering to established cleaning standards and safety protocols. Checking room status: Communicating room vacancy status to the front desk Required skills:Attention to detail: Ability to thoroughly clean rooms and maintain a high level of cleanliness Physical stamina: Capability to perform repetitive cleaning tasks throughout the shift Customer service skills: Polite and professional demeanor when interacting with guests Time management: Efficiently completing assigned rooms within allotted timeframes Teamwork: Collaborating with other housekeeping staff to maintain overall cleanliness
