Develop and improve our food production processes, with a focus on mango and lemon related products. Planning and organising production schedules. Streamline the production process to increase efficiency and reduce costs. Conduct trials and be responsible for the new and existing product development in the lab. Conduct research and experiments to improve product quality and shelf life Collaborate with other departments to ensure products meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards. Prepare the quality assurance documents specifying suppliers details and submit these to the customers. Prepare product costings based on raw materials and manufacturing costs to ensure profitable products. Look for cost reduction strategies. Organising the repair and routine maintenance of production equipment. Supervising and managing the work of junior staff. Deal with any customer complaint investigations or product issues. Compile, check and approve product specifications and labelling. Responsible for sample stock keeping as well as providing samples to the customers for pilot trial purpose. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in food science and technology. Train and educate production staff on new processes and technologies. Maintain data in excel with respect to requests from the sales team, raw materials quantity, customer details, dispatch details etc. Manage customers/suppliers visit in the lab. Troubleshoot and resolve production issues as they arise.
