Job Summary:We are looking for an L1 NOC Engineer responsible for monitoring leased line links and network infrastructure. The role involves first-level monitoring, troubleshooting, escalation, and coordination with service providers/vendors to ensure 24x7 uptime and SLA adherence.________________________________________Key Responsibilities: Monitor leased line links, WAN, LAN, and backbone infrastructure through NMS tools. Perform real-time network monitoring, identify outages, packet drops, latency, or performance degradation. Log incidents and update ticketing systems (like ServiceNow, Remedy, or internal tool). Provide first-level troubleshooting (ping, traceroute, checking device/interface status). Escalate unresolved issues to L2/L3 engineers or ISP/vendor as per defined SOP. Coordinate with telecom carriers/service providers for fault resolution. Follow shift rosters (24x7 support environment). Maintain daily network health check reports and shift handover logs. Ensure SLA compliance and proper incident documentation.________________________________________Required Skills & Qualifications: Graduate/Diploma in Electronics/IT/Telecom/Computer Science. 02 years of experience in NOC/network monitoring (Freshers with CCNA/N+ certification can also apply). Basic understanding of leased lines, MPLS, VPN, and Internet links. Knowledge of networking fundamentals (IP addressing, routing basics, OSI layers). Hands-on with monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Nagios, PRTG, Zabbix, or equivalent). Strong communication and coordination skills (with internal teams & ISPs). Willingness to work in 24x7 shifts.________________________________________Good to Have: CCNA / CompTIA Network+ certification. Prior experience with ISP or Enterprise NOC. Familiarity with ITIL ticketing process.
