Job Summary:
We are looking for an L1 NOC Engineer responsible for monitoring leased line links and network infrastructure. The role involves first-level monitoring, troubleshooting, escalation, and coordination with service providers/vendors to ensure 24x7 uptime and SLA adherence.

Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor leased line links, WAN, LAN, and backbone infrastructure through NMS tools.
• Perform real-time network monitoring, identify outages, packet drops, latency, or performance degradation.
• Log incidents and update ticketing systems (like ServiceNow, Remedy, or internal tool).
• Provide first-level troubleshooting (ping, traceroute, checking device/interface status).
• Escalate unresolved issues to L2/L3 engineers or ISP/vendor as per defined SOP.
• Coordinate with telecom carriers/service providers for fault resolution.
• Follow shift rosters (24x7 support environment).
• Maintain daily network health check reports and shift handover logs.
• Ensure SLA compliance and proper incident documentation.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Graduate/Diploma in Electronics/IT/Telecom/Computer Science.
• 0–2 years of experience in NOC/network monitoring (Freshers with CCNA/N+ certification can also apply).
• Basic understanding of leased lines, MPLS, VPN, and Internet links.
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals (IP addressing, routing basics, OSI layers).
• Hands-on with monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Nagios, PRTG, Zabbix, or equivalent).
• Strong communication and coordination skills (with internal teams & ISPs).
• Willingness to work in 24x7 shifts.

• CCNA / CompTIA Network+ certification.
• Prior experience with ISP or Enterprise NOC.
• Familiarity with ITIL ticketing process.
