Receptionist / Computer Operator Job Role in a Bank

A Receptionist / Computer Operator in a bank handles front-desk operations along with basic computer and data management tasks. This role is important for customer service and smooth daily operations.

Main Responsibilities

1. Front Desk & Customer Service

Welcome customers and visitors

Guide customers to the correct department (Loans, Accounts, etc.)

Handle basic customer queries

Maintain visitor register

2. Computer & Data Entry Work

Enter customer details into the bank system

Update account information

Maintain digital records

Print and scan documents

3. Telephone & Email Handling

Answer incoming calls

Transfer calls to concerned departments

Respond to official emails

4. Documentation Support

Assist in account opening forms

Help customers fill basic forms

Verify and organize KYC documents

5. Administrative Support

Maintain files and records

Prepare daily reports

Support bank staff in clerical work

Required Skills:

Basic knowledge of computer operations

Knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel

Good communication skills

Polite and professional behavior

Typing skills

Basic knowledge of banking procedures

Qualification: 10+2 or Graduate (preferred)

Basic computer course certificate

Good English and local language knowledge

Salary (Approx.): 12,000 20,000 per month (depends on bank & location)
