reporting to: area sales manager / sales head
key responsibilities
identify, approach, and onboard new distributors, wholesalers, and retailers for rice in the assigned territory.
achieve monthly sales targets and ensure consistent revenue growth.
build and maintain strong business relationships with existing customers to drive repeat sales.
conduct regular market visits to track competitor activities, pricing, and customer preferences.
ensure timely collection of payments and resolve distributor/retailer issues.
execute promotional activities, sampling, and product demonstrations to increase brand visibility.
prepare and submit daily/weekly/monthly sales reports to management.
coordinate with supply chain and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of products.
provide feedback from the market to improve product positioning and strategy.
qualifications & skills
graduate in any discipline.
1-3 years of sales experience (fmcg / food products preferred).
freshers with strong communication skills and interest in fmcg sales may also apply.
strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
good knowledge of local market and distribution network.
proficiency in ms excel / basic reporting.
two-wheeler with valid driving license (preferred).
