we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced sales & business development manager to lead our growth initiatives in the asset and property valuation domain. the ideal candidate will have a strong background in banking and valuation services, with proven expertise in sales strategy, business development, and team leadership. this role is based in mumbai and requires a deep understanding of valuation services across plant & machinery, real estate, and other tangible assets
key responsibilities:
sales & revenue generation
drive sales efforts to achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly targets
develop and execute strategic plans to expand the client base and market reach
identify and pursue new business opportunities across banking, nbfcs, and corporate sectors
business development
build and nurture long-term relationships with key stakeholders in financial institutions
present tailored valuation solutions to meet client-specific needs
collaborate with internal valuation teams to deliver high-quality proposals and services
team building & leadership
recruit, train, and manage a high-performing sales and business development team
set clear goals, monitor performance, and provide ongoing coaching and support
foster a collaborative and results-driven team culture.
client engagement & market intelligence
leverage banking experience to understand client expectations and regulatory requirements
stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and valuation standards
represent the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings
ç required qualifications & skills
education & certification
mba in sales, marketing, finance, or related discipline preferred.
additional certifications in valuation, real estate, or banking preferred
experience
45 years of hands-on experience in sales and business development within the valuation or
banking sector
proven track record of meeting sales targets and leading successful teams
strong understanding of asset valuation processes including plant & machinery and property
skills
excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities
strong leadership and team-building skills
strategic thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving
proficiency in crm platforms, ms office, and sales analytics tools
preferred attributes:
registered valuer (ibbi) or equivalent certification
experience in commercial, industrial, and residential asset valuation
leadership qualities and team coordination skills
