Practical knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) is essential for maintaining dimensional accuracy and ensuring compliance with design specifications.The candidate will be responsible for selecting appropriate cutting tools, tool paths, fixtures, and machining strategies based on material and component requirements. A deep understanding of cutting parameters such as speed, feed, depth of cut, and tool life optimization is required to enhance productivity and reduce tool wear.Hands-on experience with machine setup, prove-out, and first-piece inspection is critical. The role also includes performing in-process and final inspection using precision measuring instruments like vernier calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, height gauges, and dial indicators to ensure components meet required tolerances.The VMC Programmer should be capable of troubleshooting machining issues, identifying root causes of defects, and implementing corrective actions. Maintaining proper documentation of programs, tooling details, and process sheets is expected.
