Senior Logistics Manager responsible for leading and overseeing all logistics operations including transportation, warehousing, distribution, and supply chain management. The role ensures timely, cost-effective, and safe delivery of goods, while optimizing processes and improving efficiency in line with business objectives.Key Roles and Responsibilities:Develop and implement logistics strategies to support business growth and efficiency.Optimize supply chain processes to reduce cost and improve service levels.Oversee inbound and outbound transportation operations.Negotiate contracts with carriers, freight forwarders, and transport vendors.Supervise warehouse operations, inventory management, and material handling.Prepare and manage logistics budgets, ensuring cost control.Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives.Build and maintain relationships with logistics partners, suppliers, and transport providers.Collaborate with internal departments (procurement, production, sales) to ensure smooth operations.Qualifications & Skills:Bachelors/Masters degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.5+ years of experience in logistics and supply chain, with at least 34 years in a managerial role.Strong knowledge of transportation, warehousing, and distribution systems.Proficiency in ERP/Logistics software (SAP, Oracle, WMS, TMS, etc.).Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Ability to handle high-pressure situations and make quick decisions.

MCG Godown Manager Skills RequiredStrong inventory management & stock control skillsFIFO / FEFO knowledge (especially expiry-based FMCG items)Receiving, GRN, and dispatch process knowledgeAbility to manage inward & outward logistics smoothlyTeam handling and supervision skills (loaders, pickers, security)Basic computer skills (Excel, ERP, billing/stock software)Accuracy in stock counting and reconciliationUnderstanding of damages, shortages, and expiry controlCoordination with purchase, sales, and transport teamsKnowledge of safety, hygiene, and godown disciplineTime management and multitasking abilityBasic reporting and MIS preparation skillsAbility to handle audits and physical stock verificationProblem-solving and decision-making skills

Good typing speed and proficiency in English for email correspondence. Should have sound knowledge in Invoice & Packing List in Formats and managing export document in respect to banking, customs and client logistics departments i.e. Pre-Shipment / Post Shipment, Bill of Exchange, Bill of Collection etc. Filling of BRC and checking online on DGFT website & also checking the Shipping bill status online on Ice-gate website. Follow up with clients accounts Department and banks for payment and settlement.
