Position Title: Senior Logistics Manager

Department: Logistics & Supply Chain

Reports To: Head of Operations / Director Supply Chain

Location: Coimbatore

Job Summary:

We are looking a Senior Logistics Manager for our factory (Coimbatore). Senior Logistics Manager responsible for leading and overseeing all logistics operations including transportation, warehousing, distribution, and supply chain management. The role ensures timely, cost-effective, and safe delivery of goods, while optimizing processes and improving efficiency in line with business objectives.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

Develop and implement logistics strategies to support business growth and efficiency.

Optimize supply chain processes to reduce cost and improve service levels.

Oversee inbound and outbound transportation operations.

Negotiate contracts with carriers, freight forwarders, and transport vendors.

Supervise warehouse operations, inventory management, and material handling.

Prepare and manage logistics budgets, ensuring cost control.

Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives.

Build and maintain relationships with logistics partners, suppliers, and transport providers.

Collaborate with internal departments (procurement, production, sales) to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelors/Masters degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.

5+ years of experience in logistics and supply chain, with at least 34 years in a managerial role.

Strong knowledge of transportation, warehousing, and distribution systems.

Proficiency in ERP/Logistics software (SAP, Oracle, WMS, TMS, etc.).

Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to handle high-pressure situations and make quick decisions.
