As an event coordinator, your primary responsibility is to plan, organize, and execute various types of events, ensuring they run smoothly and successfully. The specific duties may vary depending on the nature and scale of the events, but here are some common responsibilities:1. Event Planning: Collaborate with clients or stakeholders to determine event objectives, themes, and requirements. Create detailed event plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.2. Venue Selection and Management: Research, visit, and secure appropriate event venues. Coordinate with venue staff to ensure everything is set up and ready for the event.3. Vendor Coordination: Source and contract with vendors such as caterers, audio-visual technicians, decorators, and other suppliers required for the event. Oversee their work and ensure they deliver services as agreed upon.4. Budget Management: Develop and adhere to event budgets, keeping track of expenses and finding cost-effective solutions.5. Marketing and Promotion: Assist in developing promotional materials and strategies to attract attendees and sponsors for the event.6. Logistics: Manage event logistics, including registrations, ticketing, transportation, accommodations, and any necessary permits or licenses.7. On-Site Management: Oversee event setup, troubleshoot any issues, and ensure that the event runs smoothly. This may involve managing event staff and volunteers.8. Attendee and VIP Services: Provide assistance and support to attendees, including handling inquiries and addressing any concerns or special requests. Coordinate services for VIP guests, if applicable.9. Health and Safety: Ensure that the event complies with health and safety regulations, and has contingency plans in place for emergencies.10. Post-Event Evaluation: Gather feedback from attendees, clients, and stakeholders to evaluate the success of the event and identify areas for improvement.

Educational Qualification: Graduation in any stream. Marketing or advertising will be idealExperience: minimum 1 or 2 years full time work experience in hotel industry (sales or events),events company, marketing agency. Previous experience of large or medium scale events (online or offline) preferred.
