- Oversee the efficient operation, maintenance, and monitoring of all utility systems including boilers, chillers, compressors, refrigeration units, HVAC, water treatment plants, and power distribution systems.- Ensure uninterrupted utility support to production, packaging, warehouse, and administrative operations.- Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance schedules for all utility equipment.- Minimize downtime through timely troubleshooting and repairs, ensuring optimal performance and equipment lifecycle.- Monitor energy consumption (electricity, steam, water, compressed air, fuel) and implement strategies to reduce waste and improve efficiency.- Ensure all utility operations comply with statutory regulations, environmental norms, and safety standards applicable to FMCG facilities.- Maintain documentation, permits, and logs required for inspections and audits, including pollution control, boiler inspections, and water quality testing.- Lead, train, and supervise the utility team, ensuring adherence to safety practices and operational excellence.- Manage service providers, contractors, and equipment vendors; verify work quality and ensure timely availability of spare parts.- Participate in designing and commissioning of utility systems for plant expansions, new product lines, or capacity enhancement projects.- Evaluate and recommend new technologies to improve reliability and efficiency of utility operations.- Develop contingency plans for utility failures and implement corrective actions to avoid disruptions to production processes.- Ensure availability and proper functioning of critical backup systems such as generators and emergency water supplies.- Maintain accurate records of operating parameters, maintenance activities, breakdowns, and energy usage.- Prepare monthly utility performance reports for management review and continuous improvement.
