What We're Looking For:Chief Engineer (CoC): Must hold a valid Chief Engineer Certificate of Competency from either the Indian DG Shipping (CDC) or the UK MCA (CDC).Sea Experience: Minimum of 6 - 12 months + of sailing experience as Chief Engineer on Bulk Carrier Vessels.Shore Experience: At least 3 year to 8 years of proven shore-based experience as a Technical Superintendent, specifically managing Bulk Carrier vessels.Bulk Carrier Expertise is KEY! You should have hands-on experience with:Cranes & Grabs: Operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting.Dry Docks: Planning, execution, and supervision of dry-docking projects.New Build Projects: Involvement in the supervision and technical aspects of new vessel constructions.Vessel Takeover: Experience in the technical aspects of taking over new or existing vessels. Record Keeping and Documentation:They maintain records of repairs, inspections, and other relevant information. Typical Tasks:Wiring:Connecting wires in electrical circuits, ensuring proper connections and compatibility. Equipment Installation:Installing and connecting electrical equipment like motors, generators, and switchboards. Blueprint Interpretation:Reading and interpreting electrical blueprints and schematics. Preventive maintenance of plant machineries (Pumps, valves, filters) and testingc. Maintain records in log books etc.e.
