Description of the Job Preparation and implementation of the site Safety plan, firefighting plan, and emergency evacuation plan.Maintain Site Safety Inspection Report Records.Identify best practice & lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce work process risks, raise safety awareness & improve safe work practices and culture.Create safety awareness by promoting safety meetings, presentations, and open forum discussions and by implementing safety training.Capturing hazards and risks involved in different types of operations.Responsible for training to employees for reporting hazards, near miss, incidents, safety suggestions etc.Ensure of all kinds of safety measures are applied for loading & unloading of Material/ Equipment etc.Maintaining General information report, Hazard condition & other requirements like equipment needs for first aid, PPE etc & Monitoring the PPE compliance.Responsible for Celebrating World Environment Day and Safety Week.Create a layout of firefighting equipment and make aware all the concerned employees.Carry out mock drills on regular basis.Ensuring the standards of Emergency services like Fire Extinguishers, First Aid Boxes, hydrant line etc.Work Permit system enforcement & monitoring.Maintaining All types of documents & legal filling proper records.Responsible for maintaining documents of Environment Pollution Control.Ensuring Health Check-up of employees and arrangement for same. Maintaining Reports of Medical Check-up.Ensuring the ETP maintenance as per the standard practice.Any other responsibility that will be assigned by the Department Head from time to time.

Assist the head of department in planning and preparation for gamut of QSHE activities.Proactively build, arrange for documentation and manuals for QSHE and compliance.Track, validate, revise and renew all certifications and approvals necessary for smooth and uninterrupted business functioning.Maintain and manage tangible and soft records of all documents, certificates and official letters.Regularly update and upgrade manuals in congruence to changes in all official documentation.Generate statistics and data points for client newsletters and management review.Build, manage and submit daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual dashboards, MIS and reports for management decision making.

Conduct Toolbox Talk on daily basis and maintain proper records.Act as a coordinator at all levels of management regarding safety and assist them in reviewing and modifying procedures from time to time.Assist in solving safety related problems & making recommendation for improving safety and set up standards to prevent losses/ injury.Report verbally and in written format about the accidents/ dangerous events like fire etc. to the management and client and coordinate with client for investigation.Investigate nearly missed accidents and prepare accident reports and monitor the project safety.Exercise authority to stop work when need arise/ it is necessary and advice on legal requirement affecting safety, maintain all records of HSE required by the client.Communicate about safety through leaflets, memo, posters, notices, etc. will arrange and participate in periodic safety inspection of work area.Create/ formulate and maintain a check list for inspection of all PPEs, equipments, hand tools, scaffolding before usage and ensure that all critical tools have a valid statutory test certificates and are maintained in good conditions.Update safety instruction, training which are arranged by GCE at the end of every month and in addition will ensure that labors at site are using IS marked relevant personal protective equipment & there is good condition on their site activities.Act as the emergency contact point and has a list of emergency telephone numbers including key personal.Provide firefighting and resource capabilities at time of emergency

Working knowledge of all safety equipments especially firefighting, Alarm & prevention system, Hydrants, Sprinkler systems etc. In depth knowledge of legislation (e.g. OSHA/EPA) and procedures Knowledge of potentially hazardous materials and practices Familiarity with conducting data analysis and reporting statistics Working knowledge of safety management information systems Excellent communication skills with the ability to implement health and safety Systems. Related Organisation experience is an added advantage Support the development of OHS policies and programs Conduct risk assessment and enforce preventative measures Review existing policies and measures and update. Initiate and organize OHS training of employees and executives Frequently conduct Drills Inspect premises and the work of personnel to identify issues or non-conformity and address the same.
