• working knowledge of all safety equipments – especially firefighting, alarm & prevention system, hydrants, sprinkler systems etc.
• in depth knowledge of legislation (. osha/epa) and procedures
• knowledge of potentially hazardous materials and practices
• familiarity with conducting data analysis and reporting statistics
• working knowledge of safety management information systems
• excellent communication skills with the ability to implement health and safety systems.
• related organisation experience is an added advantage
• support the development of ohs policies and programs
• conduct risk assessment and enforce preventative measures
• review existing policies and measures and update.
• initiate and organize ohs training of employees and executives
• frequently conduct drills
• inspect premises and the work of personnel to identify issues or non-conformity and address the same.
• oversee installations, maintenance, disposal of substances etc.
• identify & impart requisite training
