Job Summary:We are seeking a highly accomplished, strategic, and results-oriented Plant Head to assume overall leadership and management of our manufacturing facility in Nashik. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of plant operations, including production, quality, maintenance, supply chain, safety, and human resources, to ensure the consistent achievement of production targets, adherence to the highest quality standards, cost efficiency, and a safe working environment. The Plant Head will drive operational excellence, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and play a pivotal role in achieving the company's strategic objectives.Key Responsibilities:Overall Plant Operations Management & Strategy:Lead, manage, and optimize all facets of the plant's operations, encompassing manufacturing, production planning, quality control, maintenance, engineering, supply chain (procurement, logistics, inventory), and dispatch.Develop and implement operational strategies, policies, and procedures that align with the company's overall business goals, production volumes, and quality standards.Ensure efficient and smooth day-to-day functioning of the plant, meeting planned production schedules and customer delivery commitments.Production & Operational Excellence:Drive aggressive targets for production output, efficiency, and productivity, maximizing Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and minimizing cycle times.Implement and champion Lean Manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), and other continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance and reduce waste.Optimize resource utilization (manpower, machinery, raw materials, energy) to achieve cost-effectiveness and sustainability.Quality Assurance & Control:Uphold and continuously improve the plant's Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring adherence to national and international quality certifications (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949 if applicable, etc.) and stringent customer specifications.Lead initiatives to reduce rejection rates, improve product consistency, and enhance overall product quality.Foster a quality first mindset throughout the plant operations.Cost Management & Budgeting:Manage the plant's entire budget, controlling operational expenses, capital expenditures, and identifying significant cost-saving opportunities.Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions to ensure financial targets are met.Drive initiatives to reduce manufacturing costs without compromising quality or safety.Safety, Health & Environment (SHE):Establish, promote, and strictly enforce robust safety protocols, policies, and procedures to ensure a secure and healthy working environment for all employees.Ensure complete compliance with all local, state (Maharashtra Pollution Control Board - MPCB), and national environmental regulations, industrial safety standards (e.g., Factories Act), and statutory requirements.Lead safety committees, conduct regular risk assessments, implement corrective actions, and foster a proactive safety culture within the plant.Team Leadership & Human Resources Management:Lead, mentor, develop, and inspire a diverse team of managers, engineers, supervisors, and workers across all plant functions.Foster a positive, engaging, and performance-driven work environment.Oversee workforce planning, recruitment, training & development, performance management, and employee relations in collaboration with the HR department.Effectively manage industrial relations and ensure harmony within the workforce.Supply Chain & Logistics Oversight:Ensure efficient management of raw material procurement, inventory control, and finished goods storage and dispatch to guarantee timely deliveries and optimize working capital.Liaise strategically with key suppliers and logistics partners to ensure reliability and cost-effectiveness.Compliance & Reporting:Ensure all plant operations are in full compliance with all relevant statutory regulations, industry standards, and internal company policies.Prepare comprehensive operational reports, performance dashboards, and executive summaries, presenting findings and strategic recommendations to senior management.Stakeholder Management:Serve as the primary point of contact and representative for external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, local government authorities, auditors, and key customers/vendors (for escalated matters).Build and maintain strong relationships with the local community, promoting the company's positive image.
