Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced, strategic, and results-driven Plant Maintenance Manager to lead and optimize the entire maintenance function of our manufacturing facility in Nashik. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing advanced maintenance strategies, ensuring the maximum reliability and uptime of all machinery, equipment, and utilities, while strictly adhering to safety standards, quality protocols, and budget controls. This role requires exceptional leadership skills to manage a diverse technical team and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Maintenance Planning & Management:
Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive maintenance strategies including Preventive Maintenance (PM), Predictive Maintenance (PdM), Corrective Maintenance, Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM), and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) across the entire plant.
Establish clear maintenance objectives, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as Mean Time To Repair (MTTR), Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF), Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), and maintenance cost per unit, and track performance against these targets.
Prepare and manage the annual maintenance budget, controlling expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising equipment reliability.
Implement and effectively utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) or Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system for efficient work order management, asset tracking, and data analysis.
Team Leadership & Development:
Lead, motivate, train, and develop a multi-disciplinary team of maintenance engineers, supervisors, and technicians (covering mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, automation, and utilities).
Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and identify professional development and training needs for the team.
Foster a proactive culture of safety, continuous learning, accountability, and teamwork within the maintenance department.
Advanced Troubleshooting & Problem Solving:
Provide expert technical guidance and leadership in diagnosing and resolving complex breakdowns, chronic equipment issues, and operational anomalies.
Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations for significant failures, implementing effective Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) to eliminate recurring problems.
Drive initiatives to minimize equipment downtime and significantly improve overall asset reliability and availability.
Spare Parts & Inventory Optimization:
Optimize the spare parts inventory management system, ensuring the availability of critical spares while minimizing inventory holding costs and obsolescence.
Establish and nurture strong relationships with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and third-party vendors for timely sourcing of quality spare parts, consumables, and specialized services.
Negotiate and manage Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMCs) and service level agreements (SLAs) with external providers.
Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) Compliance:
Ensure all maintenance activities are conducted in strict compliance with company safety policies, national and international industry standards, and local regulatory requirements (., Factories Act, Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB) guidelines, electrical safety norms).
Promote a robust safety culture through regular safety training, audits, and rigorous enforcement of safe work practices (., Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), confined space entry, working at heights, hot work permits).
Continuous Improvement & Capital Projects:
Identify and implement opportunities for process optimization, energy conservation, utility management, and cost reduction within maintenance operations.
Champion and drive the implementation of continuous improvement methodologies (., Lean, Six Sigma, TPM) within the maintenance function.
Plan, propose, and manage capital expenditure (CAPEX) projects related to new equipment installations, capacity expansions, technology upgrades, and infrastructure improvements.
Inter-departmental Coordination:
