A Pediatric Endocrinology practice based in the United States is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Virtual Assistant, ideally with a medical or healthcare background (but not 100% required in case of relevant experience). The Virtual Assistant will support a single physician by managing patient records, coordinating with insurance companies, and ensuring smooth communication between patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies. The role requires availability during US hours (8am EST to 4pm EST) and strong English communication skills (verbal and written).**Key Responsibilities:**1. Electronic Medical Records (EMR) Management:- Update and maintain electronic medical records for each patient with a high degree of accuracy.2. Calculating Growth Velocities:- Calculate and record growth velocities for pediatric patients using provided data.3. Insurance Coordination:- Submit prior authorization requests to insurance companies on behalf of patients, follow-up with patients and insurance companies4. Patient Coordination:- Contact patients to ensure they have provided all necessary information for their appointments; solicit and collect growth charts, lab results, X-ray results, and other required documents from their pediatricians - Use templates to provide letters to patients for various situations5. Communication:- Maintain clear and effective communication with the physician, patients, and insurance companies.- **Skills:**- Strong English communication skills (both oral and written).- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.- Proficiency in using healthcare management software and tools.- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.- Ability to work independently and proactively.- Strong computer skills- **Availability:**- Must be available to work during US hours (8am EST to 4pm EST).- Must have strong Internet access and own PC/laptop
