You will contribute to the financial health of our organization by implementing effective accounting practices and procedures.Key Responsibilities:Financial Recordkeeping:Maintain and update financial records, including but not limited to general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.Record transactions accurately and ensure all financial data is entered into the accounting system promptly.Financial Reporting:Prepare and analyze financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement) on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.Generate financial reports for management review and decision-making.Budgeting and Forecasting:Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts based on financial performance analysis.Monitor budget variances and provide explanations for discrepancies.Tax Compliance and Reporting:Prepare and file tax returns (income tax, sales tax, etc.) accurately and timely.Stay updated with tax regulations and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax laws.Audit and Internal Controls:Support external auditors during annual audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy of financial data.Financial Analysis and Decision Support:Conduct financial analysis to support strategic initiatives and business decisions.Provide insights and recommendations based on financial data and trends.Payroll Administration:Process payroll accurately and ensure compliance with payroll regulations and tax requirements.Maintain employee records related to payroll and benefits.
