Job SummaryAs a Piping Engineer, you will deliver precise technical designs, Plant layouts, and specifications for complex plant piping systems. You will ensure that all piping networks are safe, cost-effective, and fully compliant with international engineering codes and project constraints.Key Responsibilities Piping Layout & Design: Develop detailed plot plans, equipment layouts, piping routing, and isometric drawings for process units. Material Selection & Specifications: Prepare Piping Material Specifications (PMS), Valve Material Specification (VMS), valve data sheets, and technical procurement requisitions for piping bulk components. Stress Analysis Coordination: Review piping flexibility and stress analysis inputs (such as nozzle loads and support types) using CAESAR II software to ensure system integrity. 3D Model & Clash Management: Participate actively in 3D model reviews (via Navisworks or SP3D/E3D) to identify and resolve spatial clashes with structural, electrical, and process disciplines. MTO Generation: Extract and verify definitive Material Take-Offs (MTO) for piping components to support the procurement assistance team. Vendor Document Review: Conduct Technical Bid Evaluations (TBE) and review vendor drawings for inline piping items like control valves, strainers, and special parts. Certifications (Preferred): Post-Graduate Diploma in Piping Design Engineering is highly advantageous.Experience & Skills Experience: 5 to 7 years of proven detailed engineering experience within an EPCM or PMC consultancy firm. Codes & Standards: Strong working knowledge of global codes, including ASME B31.3 (Process Piping), ASME B31.1 (Power Piping), ASME Section VIII, and relevant API/ASTM standards. Software Competency: Proficiency in AutoCAD, Navisworks, CAESAR II, and standard 3D design platforms (SP3D, E3D, or AutoCAD Plant 3D). Communication: Clear technical writing skills in English to author specifications and coordinate with cross-functional project teams.

Tend to work with simple materials such as copper, PVC, and galvanized pipe systems in residential plumbing projects.Assists Pipe Fitter to assemble and install piping for air, ammonia, gas, and water systems: Cuts or drills holes in walls to permit passage of pipes, using a pneumatic drill. Assists Pipe Fitter to install valves, couplings, and other fittings. May disassemble and remove the damaged or worn pipe.
