Job Summary
As a Piping Engineer, you will deliver precise technical designs, Plant layouts, and specifications for complex plant piping systems. You will ensure that all piping networks are safe, cost-effective, and fully compliant with international engineering codes and project constraints.
Key Responsibilities
• Piping Layout & Design: Develop detailed plot plans, equipment layouts, piping routing, and isometric drawings for process units.
• Material Selection & Specifications: Prepare Piping Material Specifications (PMS), Valve Material Specification (VMS), valve data sheets, and technical procurement requisitions for piping bulk components.
• Stress Analysis Coordination: Review piping flexibility and stress analysis inputs (such as nozzle loads and support types) using CAESAR II software to ensure system integrity.
• 3D Model & Clash Management: Participate actively in 3D model reviews (via Navisworks or SP3D/E3D) to identify and resolve spatial clashes with structural, electrical, and process disciplines.
• MTO Generation: Extract and verify definitive Material Take-Offs (MTO) for piping components to support the procurement assistance team.
• Vendor Document Review: Conduct Technical Bid Evaluations (TBE) and review vendor drawings for inline piping items like control valves, strainers, and special parts.

Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Background
• Degree: Bachelor of Engineering (.) / Bachelor of Technology () in Mechanical Engineering or Piping Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Certifications (Preferred): Post-Graduate Diploma in Piping Design Engineering is highly advantageous.
Experience & Skills
• Experience: 5 to 7 years of proven detailed engineering experience within an EPCM or PMC consultancy firm.
• Codes & Standards: Strong working knowledge of global codes, including ASME (Process Piping), ASME (Power Piping), ASME Section VIII, and relevant API/ASTM standards.
• Software Competency: Proficiency in AutoCAD, Navisworks, CAESAR II, and standard 3D design platforms (SP3D, E3D, or AutoCAD Plant 3D).
• Communication: Clear technical writing skills in English to author specifications and coordinate with cross-functional project teams.
