Position OverviewThe LoadingUnloading Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all activities related to the movement, handling, loading, and unloading of goods, materials, or cargo at warehouses, transport hubs, or worksites. The role ensures safe, accurate, and efficient operations by managing manpower, coordinating with transport teams, and maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards.Key Responsibilities Operational ManagementSupervise and coordinate loading and unloading of trucks, containers, or cargo vehicles.Plan daily operations to ensure smooth flow of inbound and outbound materials.Verify shipment details, quantities, and documentation before and after loading/unloading.Monitor proper stacking, weight distribution, and securing of goods to prevent damage.Ensure timely dispatch and receipt of goods as per schedule.Coordinate with warehouse, logistics, and transport teams for efficient movement. Team SupervisionAssign tasks and guide loading/unloading staff, forklift operators, and helpers.Monitor performance and ensure adherence to company policies and safety procedures.Train staff in safe material handling and efficient loading techniques.Maintain discipline, punctuality, and productivity among workers. Safety & ComplianceEnforce strict compliance with safety regulations and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) usage.Inspect loading areas, vehicles, and equipment for potential hazards.Conduct safety briefings and accident prevention drills.Report any accidents, damages, or near-miss incidents to management immediately.Ensure compliance with transportation, warehouse, and environmental standards. Documentation & ReportingMaintain accurate records of all inward and outward shipments.Verify and sign delivery challans, invoices, and dispatch documents.Prepare daily loading/unloading activity reports and submit them to the logistics/warehouse manager.Update data in ERP, WMS, or MS Excel systems as required.Track vehicle loading times, delays, and manpower utilization. Coordination & CommunicationLiaise with drivers, transporters, vendors, and warehouse staff.Communicate effectively with operations, purchase, and quality control departments.Resolve on-site issues quickly to minimize downtime.Maintain good relations with labor contractors and ensure proper workforce availability.Required Skills & CompetenciesIn-depth knowledge of loading/unloading procedures and warehouse operations.Strong leadership and team management skills.Basic computer literacy (Excel, ERP/WMS entry).Excellent communication and coordination skills.Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple shipments.High attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving ability.Educational QualificationMinimum: 10th / 12th pass.Preferred: Diploma or Certificate in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Warehouse Management.Experience05 years of experience in loading/unloading supervision, logistics, or warehouse operations.Experience in manufacturing, transport, FMCG, aviation cargo, or port operations is an advantage.Working ConditionsWork primarily at warehouse yards, transport hubs, or logistics terminals.Physically active role requiring movement, standing, and occasional lifting.May involve shift work, weekends, or extended hours during peak operations.

Position OverviewWe are seeking dedicated and detail-oriented Cargo Staff to join our ground operations team. The role involves handling cargo acceptance, storage, documentation, and loading/unloading activities to ensure safe and efficient cargo operations in compliance with airline and regulatory standards. Cargo staff play a vital role in supporting smooth logistics and timely cargo movement.Key ResponsibilitiesHandle cargo acceptance, verification, and processing in line with airline and IATA standards.Load and unload cargo, baggage, and mail safely using appropriate equipment.Ensure proper cargo identification, labeling, and segregation (perishable, hazardous, fragile, valuable).Maintain accurate cargo documentation including Air Waybills (AWB), manifests, and customs papers.Operate ground support equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, ULDs, conveyor belts) safely and efficiently.Monitor cargo storage and warehouse operations to maintain order and safety.Assist with customs clearance procedures and ensure regulatory compliance.Ensure weight and balance distribution of cargo in accordance with aircraft load plans.Follow health, safety, and security protocols in all cargo handling operations.Coordinate with flight operations, ground handling teams, and freight forwarders to ensure timely cargo dispatch.Report irregularities, damaged goods, or security issues to supervisors.Required Skills & QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent (Bachelors degree preferred for supervisory roles).Prior experience in cargo, logistics, or ground handling (preferred but not always required).Knowledge of IATA/ICAO cargo handling and Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR).Ability to operate ground support equipment (certification preferred).Basic computer literacy (MS Office, cargo tracking/reservation systems).Strong physical fitness for manual handling tasks.Good communication and teamwork skills.Attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.Ability to work in shifts, weekends, and under pressure.Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)Forklift / equipment operator certification.Multilingual communication skills for international operations.Familiarity with airline cargo systems (e.g., Cargospot, SkyChain, Hermes).Knowledge of cold chain handling (for perishable or medical cargo).
