position overview: we are currently seeking a talented and experienced business

development manager (bdm) with expertise in the field of home automation. the ideal

candidate will be responsible for driving business growth and expanding market presence in the

home automation sector. this role requires a combination of sales acumen, technical

knowledge, and a deep understanding of home automation solutions, including wired (knx) &

wireless products.

key responsibilities:

1. market research and analysis:

conduct thorough market research to identify trends, opportunities, and

potential customers in the home automation industry, specifically focusing on

wired (knx) & wireless products..

analyse market data, customer feedback, and competitor strategies to develop

effective sales and marketing strategies tailored to the home automation sector.

2. lead generation and prospecting:

generate leads through site visits of prospect and existing clientele (from each

project or inquiry exploring relation business of architect, builders, contractors,

interior designer and consultants), referrals, and online n other platforms, with

a specific focus on clients interested in premium home automation solution.

prospect and qualify potential clients to understand their specific needs,

challenges, and requirements related to home automation solutions.

3. client engagement and relationship management:

build and nurture strong relationships with clients, architects, interior designers,

builders, and other key stakeholders in the home automation industry,

emphasizing the benefits of smart home systems.

understand client requirements and preferences to provide customized

solutions and deliver exceptional customer service.

4. solution presentation and proposal development:

conduct engaging product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the

features and advantages of smart home automation solutions to clients.

prepare and present compelling proposals, quotes, and contracts tailored to

meet the specific needs and budgetary constraints of clients seeking smart

home systems.

5. sales pipeline management:

manage the sales pipeline from lead generation to closure, tracking progress,

managing follow-ups, and ensuring timely completion of sales activities.

collaborate closely with internal technical teams, including engineers and

project managers, to ensure seamless delivery.

6. market expansion and business growth:

identifying opportunities for cross-selling and upselling to the client and to their

contacts.

develop and implement strategic initiatives to achieve sales targets, increase

market share, and maximize revenue growth.
