Job Title: Stitcher / Sewing Operator (Master)Job PurposeTo execute high-precision stitching and fabrication of inflatable decoy systems (military-grade fabric structures) using advanced industrial sewing techniques, ensuring durability, air retention, and compliance with quality standards.Key Responsibilities1. Sewing & Fabrication Perform precision stitching of technical fabrics (e.g., nylon, polyester, PU/PVC coated materials). Assemble inflatable decoy components such as chambers, seams, valves, and structural panels. Execute airtight and reinforced stitching for inflatable structures. Interpret and work as per technical drawings, patterns, and templates. 2. Machine Operation Operate industrial sewing machines (single needle, double needle, overlock, bar-tack, heat sealing if applicable). Adjust machine settings based on fabric type and thickness. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of machines. 3. Quality Assurance Ensure seam strength, uniformity, and airtightness of stitched products. Inspect finished goods for defects such as leakage, weak joints, or misalignment. Work closely with QA/QC team to meet defense-grade standards. 4. Material Handling Handle coated fabrics and specialized materials carefully to avoid damage. Minimize wastage and ensure optimal utilization of materials. 5. Process Compliance Follow SOPs, safety standards, and production guidelines. Maintain cleanliness and discipline on the shop floor. Adhere to timelines and production targets. 6. Team Leadership (for Master level) Guide and train junior stitchers/operators. Support supervisors in improving stitching techniques and efficiency. Assist in process improvements and new product development trials.Required Skills & Competencies Expertise in industrial stitching, especially with heavy-duty or coated fabrics. Knowledge of airtight stitching techniques (preferred). Ability to read and understand technical drawings/patterns. Strong attention to detail and quality orientation. Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity. Basic understanding of inflatable or technical textile products (preferred).Educational Qualification Minimum: ITI / Diploma / Skilled Certification in Tailoring, Garment Manufacturing, or related field Experience-based candidates without formal education may also be considered Experience Required 3-5 years of experience in industrial stitching Prior experience in: Technical textiles / industrial products Tents, tarpaulins, parachutes, inflatables, or defense-related fabrication (highly preferred) Candidates with experience in inflatable structures, military-grade fabrics, or airtight fabrication will be given preference.
