- Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing raw materials, chemicals, packaging materials, and finished goods.- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly stock verifications and reconcile discrepancies.- Implement FIFO/FEFO inventory systems, especially for chemicals with shelf-life or stability requirements.- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with the procurement team to prevent stock-outs or overstocking.- Supervise the unloading, storage, handling, and dispatch of chemical products following SOPs and safety guidelines.- Ensure proper segregation, labeling, and identification of hazardous and non-hazardous materials.- Optimize warehouse space utilization and maintain cleanliness, orderly storage, and pest-free conditions.- Oversee packaging, palletizing, and logistics preparation for dispatch.- Enforce compliance with chemical storage norms, MSDS guidelines, and company safety protocols.- Maintain documentation such as GRN, issue slips, stock registers, safety checklists, and batch tracking records.- Ensure proper disposal of chemical waste as per environmental and regulatory requirements.- Conduct periodic safety drills and ensure availability of PPE and firefighting equipment.- Coordinate with production, quality control, procurement, and logistics teams for material movement.- Liaison with transporters, suppliers, and internal departments for smooth and timely operations.- Communicate stock status, pending deliveries, and critical material requirements to management.- Update ERP/Inventory Management software with real-time data regarding materials and finished goods.- Generate daily, weekly, and monthly warehouse performance reports for management review.- Suggest process improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and safety in warehouse operations.- Lead and supervise warehouse staff, loaders, and material handling teams.- Train team members on safety practices, material handling procedures, and SOP compliance.- Monitor staff performance and allocate duties effectively to meet operational goals.

Role Overview The Head of Logistics will be responsible for overseeing and managing all logistics operations, including inbound and outbound transportation, warehousing, distribution, inventory movement, and compliance. The role ensures the efficient and cost-effective delivery of goods while maintaining high levels of service, safety, and compliance. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement logistics strategies to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and finished goods Manage inbound and outbound transportation, including coordination with transporters, freight forwarders, and courier partners Supervise warehousing operations (raw material, WIP, and finished goods), ensuring accuracy, safety, and inventory control Ensure optimal routing, loading, and delivery schedules to reduce costs and improve efficiency Monitor and improve logistics KPIs such as OTIF (On Time In Full), transit damage, freight cost per unit, etc. Coordinate with production, procurement, and sales teams for logistics planning Negotiate contracts and maintain strong vendor/supplier relationships with transport and warehousing partners Ensure compliance with legal regulations (road permits, E-way bills, GST logistics compliance, etc.) Use ERP and logistics systems to track shipments, inventory, and performance metrics Implement continuous improvement initiatives in logistics operations using lean principles Handle reverse logistics and customer return processes as required Requirements Bachelors degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Engineering (MBA in Supply Chain is an advantage) 1015+ years of relevant experience, preferably in manufacturing, industrial, or FMCG sectors Strong knowledge of transportation, warehousing, and inventory management Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Tally) and TMS/WMS software Excellent negotiation, analytical, and leadership skills Familiarity with import/export documentation and statutory compliance Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail Preferred Industries Automotive FMCG Engineering Electronics Chemicals Pharmaceuticals Additional Attributes Ability to manage multiple logistics channels Strong team management and communication skills Knowledge of sustainability practices in logistics is a plus

Transfer oil from vessels into barges according to required grade (Ultra 2/3) andquantity. Ensure accurate measurement of oil in KL and prevent spillage. Monitor vessel handling by company representatives for safety and compliance.2. Dock Loading Point Operations Ensure tankers pass tare weight verification before loading. Track all barges and vehicles for efficient docking and loading. Verify tankers are clean, dry, non-rusted, odourless, and painted before loading. Conduct security checks to prevent pilferage or theft. Oversee tanker weight monitoring, recording gross, tare, and net weights. Manage filling operations, sealing, and weighbridge calibration. Coordinate with surveyors and insurance to validate documents and authorizedispatch. Track tankers to assigned plant locations and ensure timely delivery. Manage entry and exit procedures for all tankers at weighbridge checkpoints.3. General Administration & Documentation Maintain records of delivery challans, invoices, B/L copies, and transportdocuments. Support office administration and dock documentation duties. Perform outdoor activities such as bank visits and document submissions. Collect samples or documents from plants, customs, insurance, or client companiesas required.
