key responsibilities:
customer service:
greet customers warmly and engage them in a friendly, approachable manner.
assist customers with inquiries, complaints, and service requests.
provide information about products, services, promotions, or procedures.
transaction processing:
process cash, card, and digital transactions accurately.
handle cash registers, balance tills, and ensure correct change is given.
maintain accurate records of daily transactions and reconcile receipts.
product or service assistance:
recommend or upsell products/services that may benefit customers.
demonstrate basic product or service knowledge to assist customers in making decisions.
handle or prepare orders as per customer requests in settings like restaurants or retail counters.
inventory and stock maintenance:
monitor and restock products or supplies on display or within reach of the counter.
notify supervisors about low inventory levels or items that require reordering.
cleanliness and organization:
keep the counter area clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
ensure promotional materials, signs, and product displays are up-to-date and orderly.
compliance and safety:
follow company policies regarding transactions, refunds, and exchanges.
adhere to health and safety regulations, especially in food or retail settings.
qualifications:
high school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training is a plus.
previous customer service or cash-handling experience preferred.
