As a Safety Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a safe working environment at our office in Sambalpur. Your responsibilities will include:- Conducting Safety Inspections: Regularly inspect the worksite to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations. You will look for potential risks and recommend solutions to improve safety.- Implementing Safety Procedures: Develop and enforce safety procedures and protocols that all employees must follow. Your role will involve creating guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.- Training Employees: Provide safety training sessions to employees to raise awareness about safety practices. You will educate staff on how to recognize hazards and the correct procedures to follow in an emergency.- Accident Investigation: Investigate any accidents or near misses that occur on-site. You will gather information, analyze causes, and prepare reports to prevent future incidents.- Maintaining Safety Records: Keep detailed records of safety inspections, training sessions, and incidents. You will be responsible for documenting compliance with safety regulations and preparing reports for management.To succeed in this role, you should have a strong understanding of safety regulations, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure. A background in occupational health and safety is essential, and prior experience in a similar role is preferred. You must also be proactive, detail-oriented, and possess strong problem-solving skills to effectively manage safety challenges in the workplace.

A Safety Officer is responsible:*Developing and implementing safety policies and procedures, risk assessment*Training on safety procedures. Investigate accidents, incidents*Maintain safety records and documents.*NEBOSH, Advance OR Post Diploma in Industrial Safety. (ADIS OR PDIS)#Immediate joiner will be preferred.

Continuous inspection of project sites, to ensure a hazard-free environment Assessment and approval of subcontractor safety plans Verification of tools and equipment to ensure good quality Promoting safe practices on site Creating and enforcing safety guidelines and programs Carrying out drills and exercises on managing emergency situations Conducting investigations on accidents Verifying that all safety reports are submitted to related government institutions. Responding to workers safety concerns Manages all communications with government departments in regards of safety Arranges OSHA-mandated evaluations of the site Coordinates all issues regarding hazardous materials or waste Establishing and maintaining health and safety communication structures Testing effectiveness of site emergency response plans Continuous monitoring of all safety related documents, reports and issues to keep them updatedDesired Profile Any graduate with valid diploma in safety certificate Min 3+ yrs experience in handling safety issues in the Thermal power Plants. First Aid and CPR certification Thorough knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation
