Job Title: Production SupervisorDepartment: Operations / ManufacturingReports To: Production Manager / Plant ManagerPosition SummaryThe Production Supervisor oversees daily shop-floor operations to ensure manufacturing schedules, output targets, quality standards, and safety protocols are met efficiently. This role leads shift operators and machine technicians, driving continuous improvement while managing resource allocation on the factory floor.Key ResponsibilitiesShift Operations & Scheduling: Plan, assign, and direct shift personnel across machining and assembly lines to fulfill production orders on schedule.Shop-Floor Safety: Enforce EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) compliance, conduct daily tool-box talks, and ensure all machine safeguards and PPE rules are followed.Output & Efficiency: Monitor hourly output, machine uptime, and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE); address line bottlenecks and minimize unplanned downtime.Quality Standard Enforcement: Ensure operator self-inspections, process controls, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) are followed to limit scrap, rework, and defects.Team Leadership & Workforce Planning: Manage operator attendance, cross-train crew members, evaluate performance, and address line discipline or resource gaps.Material & Inventory Tracking: Coordinate with store and logistics teams to maintain adequate raw material feed, tooling, and staged work-in-progress (WIP) inventories.Continuous Improvement: Participate in 5S audits, root-cause troubleshooting for production delays, and Kaizen initiatives to optimize workflow and reduce operational waste.
