The successful candidate will work closely with healthcare providers, billing specialists, and administrative staff to ensure proper coding practices and compliance with industry regulations.Responsibilities:Review and analyze medical documentation to accurately assign appropriate codes for procedures, diagnoses, and services rendered, utilizing ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS code sets.Ensure that medical coding follows current coding guidelines and complies with legal and regulatory standards.Collaborate with healthcare providers and clinical staff to clarify documentation and resolve coding discrepancies.Maintain a high level of accuracy and productivity in coding assignments to support timely reimbursement and claims processing.Assist in coding audits and compliance reviews to identify potential coding-related issues and provide recommendations for improvement.Stay up-to-date with coding changes, industry trends, and regulatory updates to ensure ongoing accuracy and compliance.Participate in educational opportunities and training sessions to enhance coding skills and knowledge.Contribute to the development and maintenance of coding policies and procedures to ensure consistent and efficient coding practices.Communicate effectively with billing and administrative teams to address coding-related inquiries and resolve issues.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Professional Coder - CPC) preferred.Minimum of [X] years of medical coding experience in a healthcare setting.Proficiency in using ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS code sets.Solid understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems
