Job Description

A ticketing officer's job is to help customers plan their trips by providing information, making reservations, and selling tickets:

Provide information: Answer questions about travel arrangements, such as routes, schedules, fares, and travel policies

Make reservations: Confirm reservations and make other arrangements, such as car bookings

Sell tickets: Calculate expenses and sell tickets to passengers

Handle customer inquiries: Resolve ticketing issues and handle customer complaints

Maintain records: Keep accurate records of transactions and customer interactions

Coordinate with others: Collaborate with team members to improve the ticketing process

Re-book tickets: Re-book tickets and other arrangements if passengers change their schedules

Ticketing officers may work for airlines, bus companies, railroads, or cruise lines. They may use computers to help speed up the process.
