job overview:
we are looking for a sales proposal engineer / executive to support our technical sales operations by preparing accurate and competitive proposals for clients in refining, chemical, and essential oil industries. the role involves understanding customer requirements, preparing techno-commercial quotations, coordinating with the engineering team, and ensuring timely submission of tenders and proposals.
key responsibilities:
• prepare technical and commercial proposals for projects like gold refining plants, pgm refining systems, and essential oil extraction units.
• study customer inquiries, specifications, and drawings to prepare cost estimates and quotations.
• coordinate with the design, procurement, and project teams to finalize technical offers.
• communicate with clients to clarify technical and commercial queries.
• follow up with customers on proposals, tenders, and negotiation stages.
• maintain and update proposal documentation and quotation databases.
• prepare cost sheets, boqs, and scope of supply documents.
• support the sales team in pre-bid meetings, tender submissions, and presentations.
• prepare and maintain sales reports and assist in achieving company targets.
qualifications & experience:
• education: diploma / ./bsc or related field.
• experience: 1-2 years in proposal/sales support or estimation for industrial projects, preferably in refining, process plants, or equipment manufacturing.
• skills:
o strong technical understanding of mechanical/process equipment.
o proficiency in ms office (excel, word, powerpoint).
o experience with autocad or plant layout understanding is an advantage.
o excellent written and verbal communication skills.
o strong analytical, cost estimation, and negotiation skills.
