the automobile sales executive is responsible for generating sales, building customer relationships, and promoting the dealerships products and services. this role involves guiding customers through the vehicle selection and purchase process while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and meeting assigned sales targets.
key responsibilities
1. sales & customer engagement
greet customers, understand their needs, and help them select suitable vehicles.
provide detailed information on vehicle features, specifications, pricing, financing options, and after-sales services.
conduct test drives with prospective buyers and explain vehicle performance.
negotiate pricing, trade-in values, and financing options to close sales.
2. lead management & prospecting
generate new leads through networking, cold calling, social media, and referrals.
follow up diligently on leads and inquiries to maximize sales opportunities.
maintain an updated customer database and track interactions.
3. product knowledge
stay updated on all models, trims, technology features, and competitor offerings.
provide accurate and persuasive product demonstrations both onsite and online.
4. documentation & compliance
prepare sales contracts and ensure proper documentation for vehicle delivery.
coordinate with finance and insurance teams to process loans, payments, and insurance.
ensure compliance with company policy and local regulations.
5. customer service & after-sales support
maintain long-term customer relationships to encourage repeat business.
follow up after delivery to ensure customer satisfaction.
handle customer complaints professionally and escalate issues when necessary.
