a sales executive is responsible for generating revenue for a company by identifying and qualifying leads, managing the sales process, and successfully closing deals. this role requires excellent communication skills, a deep understanding of the product/service, and a strong drive to meet and exceed sales targets.

core responsibilities

1. sales generation and target achievement

prospecting: actively seek out new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking, social media, and market research.

lead management: qualify leads generated by the marketing team or through personal efforts, determining their suitability and readiness to purchase.

target achievement: consistently meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales quotas and performance metrics.

2. relationship management and closing

client engagement: build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships by understanding their needs and offering solutions.

presentations & demos: prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, product demonstrations, and proposals tailored to the client's specific business challenges.

negotiation: negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with clients to maximize profits while ensuring client satisfaction.

deal closure: guide prospects through the sales funnel to successful closure.

3. reporting and strategy

crm management: utilize the crm system (., salesforce, hubspot) daily to accurately log sales activities, customer information, and update sales forecasts.

market feedback: provide accurate feedback from the market and customers to the marketing and product development teams to help improve offerings.

pipeline management: maintain an organized sales pipeline, tracking all active opportunities and providing regular progress reports to management.
