we are seeking a dynamic and results-driven sales executive to join our team in mumbai. the ideal candidate will be responsible for driving business development and managing client relationships within the flavor and fragrance (f&f) industry. this b2b role requires a strong understanding of customer needs and market trends to effectively promote our innovative flavor and fragrance solutions.
key responsibilities
business development: drive b2b sales across the assigned territory by acquiring new clients and identifying potential business opportunities.
account management: maintain and strengthen existing customer relationships to ensure high levels of client satisfaction and grow wallet share.
technical consultation: understand customer requirements and collaborate with our technical (perfumery/flavorist) team to provide tailored solutions and samples.
market intelligence: provide regional market insights, track competitor activities, and inform business planning and product development teams of emerging trends.
sales strategy & reporting: develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets, manage contract negotiations, and maintain accurate records of pricing and sales activities.
product knowledge: maintain updated knowledge of product launches, share product information with customers, and conduct product presentations.
qualifications & skills
experience: proven b2b sales experience in the fragrance, flavors, aroma chemicals, cosmetics, personal care, or related chemical industry is highly preferred.
education: a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, chemistry, chemical, or a related field; an mba is an advantage.
communication: excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation, and presentation skills are essential.
technical acumen: strong techno-commercial acumen and an interest in the technical aspects of flavors and fragrances.
networking: strong networking skills and a proven ability to build relationships with r&d, procurement, and marketing teams of client companies.
work ethic: highly motivated, with excellent time management skills and a willingness to be in the market to meet clients (up to 80% of the time).
computer skills: proficiency in ms office (excel, ppt) and experience with crm systems.
