Senior Accountant Graduate Jobs in Kanpur

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of accounting principles, GST compliance, taxation, and daily financial operations. This position plays a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring statutory compliance.Key Responsibilities:Manage day-to-day accounting operations including journal entries, ledger maintenance, and reconciliations.Oversee bill entries, vendor payments, and expense tracking.Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, etc.) and ensure timely compliance.Handle TDS, income tax, and other statutory tax matters.Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.Assist with audits and coordinate with external auditors.Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.Monitor cash flows and support budget preparation.Required Qualifications:Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting roles.Strong working knowledge of GST, TDS, and tax regulations.Proficient in Tally, Excel, and accounting software.Good analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Prepare accurate, timely financial statements in accordance with our established schedule and with input from the rest of the accounting department. Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance. Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and other issues that should be brought to the CFOs attention. Review all inter-company transactions and generate invoices as necessary. Reconcile balance sheet accounts. Delegate financial responsibilities to accounting team. Coordinate semi-annual audits and assist CFO with conducting audits. Conduct regular ledger maintenance.
