We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant with strong expertise in Australian taxation and financial compliance. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of hands-on experience in BAS, IAS, Payroll, FBT, ITR, and annual tax reporting. This role involves managing end-to-end tax obligations, preparing accurate financial reports, and supporting strategic decision-making with reliable financial insights.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and lodge BAS, IAS, ITR and all statutory compliance reports within deadlines.Oversee payroll processing, superannuation and employer obligations as per Fair Work and ATO guidelines.Manage FBT preparation, reconciliation, and annual reporting.Lead annual tax compliance including tax planning and audit support.Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and financial reporting.Analyse variances and identify cost-saving opportunities.Ensure full compliance with federal and state taxation laws.Support budgeting and forecasting activities.Advise leadership/clients on tax updates, compliance and financial performance.Improve internal controls and accounting processes.Required Skills & QualificationsBachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.Minimum 2 years of Australian accounting and taxation experience.Strong knowledge of BAS, IAS, Payroll, FBT, ITR and Annual Tax Compliance.Proficiency in Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, or similar accounting systems.Strong understanding of Australian tax laws and accounting standards.High accuracy, analytical skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.Core CompetenciesTaxation & CompliancePayroll & SuperannuationFinancial Reporting & ReconciliationCost & Financial AnalysisBudgeting & Forecasting SupportInternal Controls & Risk ManagementProblem Solving & Decision-makingWhat We OfferCompetitive salary based on experienceOpportunities for professional growth and learningSupportive work culture and collaborative team
