Key ResponsibilitiesImplement and monitor workplace safety policies, procedures, and standards.Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments.Identify workplace hazards and recommend corrective and preventive actions.Ensure compliance with applicable safety regulations, statutory requirements, and company policies.Conduct safety induction programs and training sessions for employees and contractors.Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-miss cases and prepare detailed reports.Monitor the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) across the workplace.Maintain safety records, permits, checklists, and compliance documentation.Coordinate emergency preparedness activities, mock drills, and evacuation procedures.Work closely with Production, Maintenance, and HR teams to promote a safe working environment.Ensure contractor safety compliance and monitor high-risk activities.Support continuous improvement initiatives related to occupational health and safety.

Ensure compliance with site safety rules, statutory safety regulations, and project-specific safety plans.Conduct daily safety inspections of work areas, machinery, tools, scaffolding, and PPE usage.Identify unsafe acts and unsafe conditions and take immediate corrective actions.Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and awareness training for workers and subcontractors.Ensure availability and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as helmets, safety shoes, harnesses, gloves, etc.Monitor high-risk activities such as:1. Work at height2. Lifting operations3. Excavation & trenching4. Hot work (welding, gas cutting)5. Electrical works6. Maintain safety records including:7. Safety checklists8. Incident / accident reports9. Near-miss reports10. PPE registersInvestigate accidents, incidents, and near misses and prepare root cause analysis reports.Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors to ensure safety compliance.Ensure fire safety measures, first-aid facilities, and emergency response procedures are in place.Assist in implementing method statements and risk assessments (JSA / HIRA).Stop work if unsafe conditions are observed and report to the concerned authority.
