Hiring For Safety Supervisor

Key Responsibilities

Enforce safety policies and procedures at the project/site

Conduct daily safety inspections and identify unsafe acts or conditions

Ensure compliance with statutory safety norms, EHS standards, and company policies

Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and training programs

Monitor use of PPE and ensure proper safety equipment availability

Investigate accidents, near misses, and unsafe incidents

Prepare and maintain safety records, reports, and documentation

Coordinate with Site Engineer, Project Manager, and contractors on safety matters

Implement corrective and preventive actions for safety violations

Ensure emergency preparedness and proper housekeeping at site

Required Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of workplace safety standards and procedures

Hazard identification and risk assessment skills

Good communication and training skills

Ability to enforce safety discipline firmly and diplomatically

Documentation and reporting skills

Knowledge of firefighting systems, PPE, and emergency response

Qualifications

Diploma / Degree in Safety, Engineering, or relevant field

Safety certification such as ADIS / NEBOSH / IOSH preferred

Experience

2-6 years of experience as a Safety Supervisor

Experience in construction / industrial / infrastructure projects preferred
