Ensure compliance with site safety rules, statutory safety regulations, and project-specific safety plans.
Conduct daily safety inspections of work areas, machinery, tools, scaffolding, and PPE usage.
Identify unsafe acts and unsafe conditions and take immediate corrective actions.
Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and awareness training for workers and subcontractors.
Ensure availability and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as helmets, safety shoes, harnesses, gloves, etc.
Monitor high-risk activities such as:
1. Work at height
2. Lifting operations
3. Excavation & trenching
4. Hot work (welding, gas cutting)
5. Electrical works
6. Maintain safety records including:
7. Safety checklists
8. Incident / accident reports
9. Near-miss reports
10. PPE registers
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses and prepare root cause analysis reports.
Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors to ensure safety compliance.
Ensure fire safety measures, first-aid facilities, and emergency response procedures are in place.
Assist in implementing method statements and risk assessments (JSA / HIRA).
Stop work if unsafe conditions are observed and report to the concerned authority.
